Jatoba and Pau Rosa Serving Board
Jatoba, also known as Brazilian Cherry, varies from a light orangish brown to a darker reddish brown, sometimes with contrasting darker grayish brown streaks.
Jatoba is an extremely hard wood, the official wood hardness scale is called the Janka scale, Jatoba has a hardness rating of 2350 which is very high.
This means Jatoba is an extremely dense, hard and durable wood.
Pau Rosa an African Hard Wood is very reminiscent of Rosewood and tends to vary in colour from pink or yellow to a darker reddish brown, with darker brown streaks common.
Grain tends to be wavy or interlocked. Uniform medium to coarse texture, with a high natural lustre and deep inviting tones.
This board is great for serving bread and dips, antipasti, tapas or any type of food meant for sharing.
